In one scenario when trying to uninstall our app from someone’s computer, we encountered an error as shown below -
Windows cannot find ‘c:\Program files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\VSTOInstaller.exe.’ Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
In this case it seems as though files from our install were missing or deleted from this computer.
To solve this problem, complete steps #2-9 in the clean ribbon install (Clean Ribbon install steps) and then re-installed the application. You will need to skip step #1. After that the bug experienced from the app was resolved and full functionality was restored.
